Harness the Power of the Steppe

Energy Resilience for Ukraine

WHY?

Traditional infrastructure relies on large, centralized hubs. A single strike can disrupt entire districts, leaving communities without water, communications, and basic humanitarian services.

Damage to substations and transmission lines leads to large-scale outages that can last for days or weeks, leaving critical services without backup power just when they need it most. Diesel generators have become a temporary solution, but they create new logistical risks: constant need for fuel, complex maintenance, noise, high operating costs, and dependence on supplies in crisis conditions.

Energy Grid Strikes

Ukraine remains in a position where its energy infrastructure is regularly under attack. Centralized networks built for peacetime no longer guarantee a stable supply of electricity, water, and communications to communities. When power goes out, water pumps, communication points, and humanitarian hubs stop working. This directly impacts security, evacuation coordination, and people’s access to basic services.

Implementation - Roadmap

6 months to community energy sustainability

The project is being implemented in phases, from partner mobilization to full launch of the autonomous microgrid.

Each phase directly impacts the ability of communities to maintain water supply, communications, and critical services during energy crises.

Mobilization

00 - 01 month

Formation of local partnerships, technical planning and preparation of sites for system installation.

  • Community Needs Assessment
  • Infrastructure Audit
  • Coordination with Local Teams
  • Logistics and Security Preparation

Procurement of energy equipment and preparation of systems for transportation and installation.

  • Wind modules
  • Solar panels
